Estimating the Cost of a Service
Obtaining accurate quotations and estimates of costs is a vital part of any relationship with our clients, and the management of their expectations is an essential ingredient to a successful relationship.
However, this is not always easy to do before the car or component is stripped down for inspection; by which time the client is usually committed.
Our past experience has shown that we should be able to give clients a reasonably accurate “ball park” figure upon inspection of the car. However, this may well be varied when the car is completely dismantled and a thorough inspection of all components can take place.
There are not many tasks we have not undertaken on Aston Martins from the 50’s to the early 90’s. However an accurate figure can only be given when we can see what we have to do.
Usually this can only happen when the car or component is fully stripped down and therefore the amount of work and the time it might take can be determined and costed.
It is therefore essential that over a period of time trust between the client and Goldsmith and Young generate a partnership, which we hope will last many years and, of course, may include co-operation in future projects.
We will do our best to advise you of any rising costs before we spend your money – however that needs to be balanced by an understanding of our problem which is that we do not have “Xray eyes” and therefore cannot see some issues prior to a full inspection on strip down.
